Frederique New Manufacture Classic Date Automatic Black Watch

It’s still a classic, to be sure, but with some major changes: the Classic Date Manufacture now features the new FC-706 Manufacture caliber with a 72-hour power reserve and a five-year warranty. The steel case has been resized to a slightly smaller 40 millimeters, a classic and elegant diameter that houses a new numeral-free dial. Thin hour markers and a “railroad track” minute circle frame a sunburst dial. There’s form, and then there’s substance: the new incarnation of the Classic Date Manufacture remains true to the canons of authentic and traditional haute horlogerie, and does so by adopting a different stylistic and technical approach than its predecessors. The ethos of the new model is all about refinement, starting with a significantly reduced case diameter of 40 mm instead of the previous 42 mm. This evolution is in line with the current expectations of haute horlogerie lovers and also reflects the size of most of the watches launched in the last fifty years that have become timeless icons. The smaller dimensions make the dial more open and free than ever, while the sunburst finish gives it a constant and delicate shine.
