It is a decision that came naturally in our careful experience with the aesthetics of oriental lacquer art. “千玉” (qiān yù) is a beautiful wish we have had while exploring the aesthetics of oriental lacquer art: in Chinese, “千”(qiān, one thousand) is both a number and an adjective, referring to large quantities and fullness of variety, whose meaning has not changed from ancient times to today. "玉" (yù, jade) is the best illustration of Chinese people's expectations of beauty, and it also appeals to the characteristics of lacquer, which is warm and smooth like jade.Nowadays, 「千玉QIANYU」 is discovering and recreating the beauty of oriental lacquer art with our constant research and exploration. QIANYU craftsmen crafted this fountain pen using the Tamenuri technique, in which the natural flow of raw lacquer reveals an inner green at the edges of the pen, similar to leaves basking in the sunlight in a forest.
